High-Rise Illuminated Channel Letters in Irvine: CoreLogic Rebrands to Cotality
Corporate rebranding is more than a logo update — it’s a physical transformation that requires strategic planning, precision fabrication, and expert installation. We recently partnered with the team formerly known as CoreLogic as they transitioned to their new brand, Cotality, completing two large-scale illuminated channel letter signs on the exterior of their corporate office building in Irvine, California.
This high-rise exterior signage project involved full-service design, engineering, permitting, fabrication, and installation of custom LED illuminated channel letters mounted directly to the building façade.
Custom Exterior Channel Letters Designed for Scale
When installing corporate building signage at this elevation, scale and visibility are critical. These custom fabricated channel letters were engineered for maximum daytime readability and balanced nighttime illumination. The Cotality logo features dimensional lettering and a distinctive emblem, both manufactured with precision aluminum returns, durable faces, and energy-efficient LED lighting to ensure consistent illumination and long-term performance.
Because the sign is positioned high on a multi-story office building, spacing, stroke width, mounting pattern, and illumination levels were carefully calculated to maintain brand clarity from long distances. This type of commercial exterior sign requires detailed layout planning and exact field measurements to achieve a seamless result.
The finished illuminated building sign now provides strong brand visibility across the Irvine business district, reinforcing Cotality’s new corporate identity both day and night.
Navigating City of Irvine Sign Permits and Engineering Requirements
Large-scale commercial signage in Irvine requires coordination with the City of Irvine for sign permits, structural approvals, and electrical compliance. This project included engineering documentation, load calculations, and detailed installation plans to meet municipal requirements for high-rise building signage.
Our team worked closely with property management and city officials to ensure the exterior channel letter installation met all zoning regulations and building codes. Proper permitting and engineering review are essential components of any corporate exterior signage project, particularly on multi-story commercial buildings.
High-Rise Sign Installation and Complex Electrical Routing
Installing illuminated channel letters at this height required specialized lift equipment, safety rigging, and an experienced installation crew. Each letter was carefully anchored to the building façade and aligned to maintain consistent spacing across the entire wordmark.
Electrical wiring was routed into a narrow crawlspace behind the façade, requiring precise coordination and careful execution. Access was extremely limited, and all conduit and wiring needed to remain concealed while meeting electrical safety standards. This type of high-rise sign installation demands both technical expertise and problem-solving in the field.
Despite the challenges, the installation was completed cleanly and efficiently, delivering a polished final appearance that integrates seamlessly with the building architecture.
A Global Brand Unveiling in Irvine
Following installation, Cotality hosted a formal unveiling event at their Irvine headquarters, flying in team members from around the world to celebrate their corporate rebrand. Seeing the illuminated channel letters displayed prominently on the building marked a significant milestone for the company.
For us, projects like this highlight the impact of professional commercial signage. Custom exterior building signs play a critical role in corporate branding, especially during a rebrand of this scale. The final result is a modern, high-visibility illuminated sign that reflects Cotality’s new identity and positions their Irvine headquarters as a strong visual presence in the market.
